Welcome to the Home of La Compagnia del Sole. We are the Founding Southern Unit of the Gleann Abhann Rapier Militia, so sworn at Gleann Abhann's Fighter Collegium AS XXXIX along with our Northern brethren the Academy of the Silver Heart and the Rakehells.
Our primary goals in the SCA are to have fun and to study the Arte of Defence. Along the way we engage in many Arts and Science projects to outfit our soldiers and to learn new skills. Among our ranks we have many talented persons who pass their knowledge through training and classes. Browse through our pages and you will meet a few of them.
Our motto translates to "We have come to unbalance the equation." We started out as a fighting unit dedicated to making our presence felt on the field. We later allied ourselves to Gleann Abhann, but have never lost the feeling that our presence on the field gives an advantage to those for whom we fight . When you see the blazoned sun on the red baldrics it is a sign that the odds have changed.
Yes, we are a proud and confident lot, but then we are from Gleann Abhann.
